Clinics

BLOMHA holds certification clinics at the office for House League Coaches, Trainers, and other Team Officials as well as our general volunteer base. Other non-certification clinics, seminars and workshops deemed valuable to our volunteers are also held at the office or advertised on this page.

See information below concerning new Speak Out/Respect in Sport online course which will replace in house clinics.

If there are no certification clinics listed here or you wish/need to take a clinic sooner please visit the ALLIANCE Hockey website for dates and times of clinics in our surrounding area.

All certification clinics require pre-registration. Registration forms for those held at the BLOMHA office are available here on the site and at the BLOMHA office. Completed forms along with payment are to be handed into the BLOMHA office to reserve a spot. Registration closes 7 days prior to the course.

Respect in Sport Program/Formerly Speak Out

You can complete your Respect in Sport online.(formally referred to as "Speak Out") Follow the link here to get all the details. If you follow this course online, it is necessary to print your certificate and advise the BLOMHA office of your completion date.

All Team Officials are required to have completed the Respect in Sport course before they can be active with a team. This includes Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers and Managers.

This course gives the participants effective tools to recognize and deal with topics such as: Definitions of abuse and harassment, responding to disclosures,prevention of harassment, bullying and abuse during competition.

Coaches please note: This certification is NO LONGER integrated into Coaching clinics.

Coaches Clinics

NCCP Coach Development Stream 1 Course for Rep Head Coaches

This course will not be held at the BLOMHA office. For dates and times of DS1 certification clinics in our surrounding area visit the Clinics section of the ALLIANCE Hockey website.

NCCP Coach Stream Course for HL Head Coaches & Rep Team Officials

Three clinics will be held to accomodate our volunteers.

Saturday, September 10: 8am - 5pm
Saturday, October 15: 8am - 5pm
Saturday, November 5: 8am - 5pm (pending on numbers that sign up)
